Quote of the Week - Week of March 1

A weekly feature highlighting the best quotes on TV as picked by the SpoilerTV team. We'd love to hear your picks too so please sound off in the comments below.

The Bold Type -
1. Kat: “I'm so over trying to fit in, you know? I'm never quite...right. I'm not black, not white. I'm not gay, but not straight. Where is the space inbetween?” Oliver: “You have to create it, and you claim it as your own.” (Folie-lex)
2. Jane: “I know why I was avoiding my 30 under 30 interview.” Ryan: “Yeah?” Jane: “Being recognized for all of my achievements before 30, it just...I dunno, it made me feel like my obituary was being written.” (Folie-lex)
3. Oliver: “So bisexual erasure is still a thing.” Kat: “That’s what I said.” (Jamie)
4. Jane: “So I’m sorry, but instead of focusing on what I’ve achieved before thirty, I want to live in the present and look toward my future." (Jamie)
5. Sutton: “Don’t leave again. Everything falls apart when you’re gone.” Kat: “Yeah, you’re the glue that holds us together, Jane.” (Jamie)

God Friended Me -
1. Anna: “Hello, everyone. Tomorrow, I’m crossing the last item off my bucket list. It’s a simple one, but that’s why I saved it for last. Sometimes it’s the simple things that are the most profound reminders of what’s important. Like love, how it can heal the past or give us hope for the future. Or family, knowing no matter what happens we don’t have to fight alone. Because faith isn’t just about religion. It’s about realizing we’re all in this together. It’s easy to forget how connected we all are. It’s easy to feel scared or lost or angry, but that’s not the same thing as losing faith and sometimes it takes meeting someone new to remind us of that. That it’s never too late to find the faith we’ve lost.”
2. Miles: “You know, seeing the sun rise was the last item on Anna’s list. I figured I’d cross it off for her.” Ali: “How are you holding up?” Miles: “Honestly, I’m not sure. I get how important Anna’s faith was, I do, but why would the God Account send me Anna’s name if it knew it was going to end up like this?” Ali: “Maybe it’s not just about restoring Anna’s faith. Maybe the God Account wanted you to know that it’s never too late. That faith will be there if you ever need it.”
3. Miles: “You think this is about restoring her faith, too.” Ali: “How do you know it isn’t?” Miles: “Because faith isn’t going to save her life and I have to believe that that’s what the God Account wants me to do.” Ali: “Faith isn’t just about facing death, Miles. It’s also about embracing life. Maybe if she gets her faith back, she’ll remember that and want to fight for it.”
4. Miles: “Well, Ali, I have to do something. Otherwise, the only thing I can offer you is magazines.” Ali: “You have faith, Miles. Faith in your family, in your friends. Most importantly, you have faith in people in the most extraordinary way. Just be here for me. That’s all you have to do. Just be here.”

Good Girls -
1. Annie: “Well, it’s actually much more common to get shanked. A shank’s got a sharp edge, you know, like a scrap of metal from the license plate shop or the top of a can of baked beans, whereas a shiv is more like when you melt down a toothbrush or a bunch of Jolly Ranchers to a fine point. You know, it takes fire. It’s just...it’s a lot...more work.” (Alison)

Grey’s Anatomy -
1. Link: “You‘re my hero.” Jo: “Mine too.” (Marko)
2. Alex(voiceover): “You always said that Christina was your person. That I was your person. But you‘ve always been your own person, a freaking force of nature. You never needed anyone but you.” (Marko)

The Magicians -
1. Fen: “What happened to your eye?” Margo: “I lent it to Josh.” (Katherine)

NCIS: LA -
1. Sabatino: “Wow, you guys are awesome, truly inspirational. But, and as much as I’d like to stick around with you, I’m trying to cut back on carbs and suicide missions.”
2. Callen: “I think we can handle 2 guys and a couple camels.” Sabatino: “Oh yeah? You ever fight a camel? They’re tougher than they look.”
3. Fatima, to the kidnappers who are trying to ransom her off: “What? No tripod? What is this, amateur hour?”
4. Sabatino: “The only thing I hate worse than camels are rocket launchers.”

NCIS: NOLA -
1. Loretta, introducing Gregorio to new forensic expert, Heather Daniels: “Brooklyn, meet Manhattan.”
2. Patton: “You remember anything else?” Pride: “No and, to be honest, I’m not sure I want to. It’s like I’m standing in front of a closed door and my intuition is screaming at me not to open it.” Patton: “Pride, that’s fear talking, That’s not you. You’re the type of guy that’ll kick a door down, no matter what’s waiting on the other side.” Pride: “Yeah well, that’s for my job. This is different.” Patton: “Man, running is running no matter what you’re running from. If you’re being haunted by a memory, you need to confront it or you’re gonna be running from it for the rest of your life.”
3. Holloway: “Being a cop is 98% tedium, 2% terror.” Loretta: “Yeah well, it’s the aftermath of that 2% that keeps me plenty busy at work.”

Outlander -
1. Jamie, about a man who, after having a stroke, has zero quality of life ahead of him: “I would do it for a dog, Claire. Could I do less for him? Go. Let it be his choice. His will.” (Prpleight)

1. Lucia: “Matthew, how did you figure out who you were?” Matthew: “I guess...there came a point in my life when I couldn’t be anyone else.” (Alison)

The Rookie -
1. Nolan: “Seems like only yesterday, Henry was a toddler. On my shoulders, just holding onto my hair, his little feet in my hands.” Lucy: “Aw! That's sweet.” Nolan: “He was a bit of a puker. It's so hard to get that smell out of your hair.” (Folie-lex)
2. Tim: “If you need anything, you let me know.” Lucy: “You got a time machine?” Tim: “I wish I did.” (Folie-lex)
3. Harper (on being sexually assaulted): “I wasn't with the crooks. I was with another cop...and I trusted him.” (Folie-lex)
4. Tim: “I'm not trying to tell you what to do with it, ‘kay? Burn it off. Keep it. Whatever gives you peace. All I'm trying to do is give you some hard won perspective. You can choose to see that tattoo as your greatest failure, but I see it as proof that you're a survivor. It wasn't your day of death, Officer Chen. It was the first day of the rest of your life, and no one can take that away from you.” (Folie-lex)

Schitt’s Creek -
1. Alexis, trying to find a rebound to help her get over Josh and skewing a few decades too high: “I just got dumped by a man who wears three medic alert bracelets!” (Katherine)
2. Moira, whose car has been egged: “I’ve become the victim of a vandalization! My return to prominence has painted another giant bullseye on my thorax!” (Katherine)
3. Moira, trying to make it up to the residents of their little town after trashing it in a “People” interview: “I believe deep down that there are worse places to be.” (Katherine)

Star Trek: Picard -
1. Jean-Luc, talking to Will Riker about his current motley ship’s crew: “They seem to be carrying more baggage than all of you ever did. But then, I’m not one to talk.” (Katherine and Zandarl)
2. Raffi, trying to calm down an anxiety-ridden Jurati, who is freaking out for many reasons: “And now, you come with Auntie Raffi. She’s going to hook you up with whatever you need.” Jurati: “Is it cake?” Raffi: “You bet it’s cake.” (Katherine)

S.W.A.T -
1. Nichelle: “A city is like a person. If there’s something wrong inside, you have to figure out what’s causing the problem and tackle that.” Hondo: “Okay, I hear that, but if you’re hurting, you gotta treat the symptoms while you’re working on the cure though, right?” Nichelle: “A hundred percent. I’m not saying we don’t need cops, but I also believe in working toward a future where we don’t need as many of them.” (Alison)

The Unicorn -
1. Wade: “I just wish that I could get Grace to tell me what's bothering her.” Michelle: “I'd be bothered too if I had to use 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner.” Wade: “Oh, come on. I like it; Natalie likes it…” Delia: “That's a real dad move.” (Folie-lex)
2. Wade: “I can't get her to open up to me like she did with Jill.” Michelle: “Would you like us to talk to her?” Wade: “Would you? Yeah! That...that'd be great!” Delia: “Yeah of course. There's things that girls just don't want to talk to their dads about.” Michelle: “Mmmhm! Bras.” Delia: “Boys.” Michelle: “Cramps.” Delia: “Boys.” Michelle: “Oh! BOYS!” Wade: “You know what, I think you're right Michelle.” Delia: “Yeah. Very insightful Michelle.” (Folie-lex)

Young Sheldon -
1. Dr. Sturgis: “How dare you accuse me of plagiarism and to my colleague, no less. This is my reputation you're jeopardizing.” Sheldon: “Well, give me the credit I deserve and I'll stop.” Dr. Sturgis: “We've been over this. You made a helpful suggestion and then you arrogantly assumed that it entitled you to a co-author credit, which it doesn't.” Sheldon: “But I was the one who…” Dr. Sturgis: “I've been your friend and mentor. The idea that I would steal from you is both personally and professionally insulting.” Sheldon: “Well, I'm sorry you feel that way, but…” Dr. Sturgis: “Sheldon, I don't want to see you in my class anymore.” (Prpleight and Folie-lex)
~~~Too many people tiptoe around this kid's behavior sometimes. Much of the time, when his parents try to punish him, the punishment means little. I was thrilled someone called him on it and he was punished in a way that mattered. (Prpleight)
2. Mary: “The point is you deserve to be recognized appropriately for everything you've accomplished.” Missy: “You can't give that to me in front of all the boys.” Mary: “Why?” Missy: “It's embarrassing!” Mary: “Well, we have plenty of time. I can make the head smaller, or the body bigger, or a little bit of both.” Missy: “I just want the same trophy everyone else gets.” Mary: “But I want you to feel special.” Missy: “And I just wanna feel regular.” Mary: “Okay. Well, I'll make sure you'll get a regular one at the party.” Missy: “Thank you. Mum, wait. I get what you were trying to do. It's nice.” Mary: “Thanks.” ~~~This moment epitomized the whole conundrum of both sides of the situation. It would have been great to see Missy embrace her mother's efforts to make sure she was properly represented, sure. But the kid's too smart and understood how it would have also been counterproductive in so many ways. I loved the approach to it and how both characters conducted themselves throughout this exchange. That as dejected as Mary was she understood Missy and Missy thanking her mother regardless was precious. (Folie-lex)
